How do I join
the AAQC?
Membership of the AAQC can be achieved 2 different ways:
a) Self Nomination
b) Recommendation or Invitation
Membership is offered to:
a) Civil Marriage Celebrants (currently appointed) - Total
yearly fee: $105.
b) Funeral Celebrants - Total yearly fee: $95
c) General Celebrants (Namings, Renewals, Commitments, Coming of
Age etc.) - Total yearly fee: $95
d) Religious Celebrants, Ministers of Religion - Total yearly
fee: $95
e) Student Celebrants (Those who are awaiting authorisation, or
who are currently studying) - Total yearly fee: $75
If you would like to be considered for membership, please send
the following information to us:
a) Your name, address, daytime and after hours contact numbers,
fax, email, date of birth, education background.
b) A statement on your experience with celebrancy, what training
you have undergone, how long you have been practicing.
c) A list of the ceremonies that you are able to perform.
d) A statement stating what you aim to receive from being an
AAQC member.
You will then be contacted with formal membership questions, and
your application will be considered at the next board meeting.
If approved, you will be enlisted, and you may start advertising
yourself as an AAQC celebrant.
